Kim Ketola commentary on life issues in the news on Dr. Bill Maier Live August 11
- Simone Biles‘ adoption story as the inspiration for her Olympic greatness
- Why we need the proposed database on abortion to address it as a public health issue
- The rationale behind the new laws on burial of fetal remains
- Pew Research: Preachers not preaching on abortion
- The bystander effect which keeps us on the sidelines of pro-life action
My segment begins at the 8:00 mark:
The big takeaway: My primary call is giving voice to God’s love–his love for children yet to be born, for the mothers involved in that drama, and for us as bystanders looking on. Jesus loves us all. Proverbs 26 says, “Like grabbing a dog by the ears. . . so is a bystander who gets involved in someone else’s quarrel.” But abortion is not some random quarrel, it’s a matter of life and death. The most false thing in all the lies of Roe v Wade is that the larger community–those who may seem mere bystanders–has no interest in that pregnancy. Because abortion is a matter of life and death, each of us must search our hearts and ask if we are truly respecting the privacy of women or whether something else holds us back from standing up and speaking out to protect the children and provide for the needs of the women.
