Merry Christmas to you from Cradle My Heart Radio!

We will be home for the holiday and presenting an encore of our visit earlier this year with Alveda King. It is fitting to welcome her message at this time of the year. Her sweet spirit helps shine God’s love into the many problems we face in faith after abortion. And her courage to speak truth reflects the presence of the light of Christ coming into the world where many still reject the power He brings to help us overcome the challenges of an unplanned or unintended pregnancy.

Alveda King has candidly shared her story of abortion here on Cradle My Heart Radio as we also discussed the issue of black genocide and her work on the Maafa 21 film and with the National Black Prolife Coalition.  You likely have also seen her in one of her many media appearances on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Huckabee, Beck, Hannity and other national and global media outlets. She is an articulate and passionate speaker who helps us understand the racist roots of abortion policy. And she is fearless in proclaiming God’s truth while helping us understand how to apply that truth to the complexities of abortion at the “personal policy” level–our choice.

As a “Guardian of the King Family Legacy,” niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and daughter to his brother Rev. A. D. Williams King, Alveda is a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a grateful mother and grandmother. She is a respected lecturer, former college professor, author, mentor, stage and screen actress, Georgia State Legislator and presidential appointee. Through her various ministries she is active writing, singing, song writing, producing and directing media projects.

We’ll discuss her new book King Rules, which teaches the boundaries the family of the slain civil rights leader followed to overcome challenges and gain happiness in life.

From the publisher of King Rules:unnamed

Recognizing America’s current ethics crisis, King counters the modern-day forces of moral
drift and empty relativism with a lovingly crafted yet refreshingly blunt guide to establishing strong family values. Beginning with a vulnerable admission of her own wounds and wanderings, she presents ten core “rules” that have governed her family for generations while also inspiring revolutionary change in the world at-large.

Within each of these tenets King dispenses wise meditations on bedrock subjects including faith and family, peace and justice, education and civic life. With thoughtful conviction she also boldly tackles topics considered divisive in our postmodern world, from abortion and sexuality to gun control and marriage laws. “King Rules” is a page-turning narrative that blends eyewitness history with grandmotherly wisdom.
