Katy joined us on Cradle My Heart Radio last night to share her impressions from the 2013 March for Life–especially from the perspective of one who has an abortion in her past. Her story illustrates what happens when young women who are Christian give in to the pressure to abort in order to save a reputation. Her most emotional moment–standing with over 500,000 to support the cause of life for the unborn and seeing signs relating to the hard cases. Her thoughts may help you settle the question on many of our hearts-what about abortion after rape?

You’ll also have a chance to hear listener reaction to the comparison of President Obama’s defense of children against gun violence to his silence to the violence abortion does to women and children. And you’ll hear highlights from legislative leaders US Representatives Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) on their dedication to the future of the pro-life cause.

This week on Cradle My Heart Radio I’ll have a report from Washington DC where I attended the 2013 March for Life and several related events.

This year marked the 40th Memorial of the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton Supreme Court decisions making abortion legal through all nine months of pregnancy. I marched and I attended events sponsored by various prolife organizations, including a Heartbeat International Babies Go To Congress luncheon featuring Rep. Trent Franks (R- Arizona) who pointed out the relevance of President Obama’s remarks on defense of defenseless children at Sandy Hook to the problem of abortion. It was a stirring and thought-provoking speech. Franks is not the first to note the irony of a pro-abortion leader speaking so eloquently on the value of children and on their inherent right to life.

Here’s a video compilation from the group The Blackstone Films of the President’s comments:

Let’s talk about this. Is it a fair comparison to bring abortion into the conversation about preventing the tragedy of child shootings? How do you react to the video?

We’ll also bring you other speeches from March and discuss my impressions from the crowd of over 500,000 who gathered to celebrate and defend children and families from the harm abortion always does.

Join me Sunday night Feb. 3 at 8CT/9ET on Cradle My Heart Radio.
